The Canadian Ophthalmology Student Interest Group (COSIG) seeks to enhance the education of medical students interested in ophthalmology by providing educational resources; facilitating connections between medical students, residents, and educational institutions; and supporting student research and advocacy efforts.
Annual Meeting
The COSIG Annual Meeting (CAM) brings COSIG members from across the country together to give students the chance to engage directly with the field—through keynotes, seminars, research presentations, networking, and resident-led small group mentorship.
The Virtual Introductory Summer Course in Ophthalmology (VISCO) is a free virtual ophthalmology course led by Canadian faculty and residents. This course and structured reading guide is filled with expert knowledge—made accessible to you for free.
The Canadian Ophthalmology Mentorship Program (COMP) program connects medical student mentees to current ophthalmology residents in an effort to build a national mentor-mentee network. It also includes expert speakers and monthly webinars.
